Jersey politicians will have more say in who is elected to serve in the top government jobs once the new ministerial system is introduced.
The States agreed to a proposal that members of the assembly can put forward alternatives if they are unhappy with the choice made by the chief minister.
This challenged a Policy and Resources view that only ministers put forward by the chief minister should be appointed.
Senator Stuart Syvret says the new proposal is stable and sensible.
