Tropicana options are considered
Weston's Tropicana
The Tropicana is a landmark in Weston
A working group has recommended two preferred options for redeveloping the Tropicana at Weston-super-Mare.

The first privately-financed plan includes pools, a leisure development, cinemas, and retail outlets.

Secondly, North Somerset Council would clear the site and build an indoor pool with an outside section. This could add £13 a year to Band D council tax.

Additionally the council will also consider refurbishment of the existing site or returning it to beach.

The council will now consider all options gleaned from the public exhibition and citizens' panel and will decide on the preferred plan at its meeting on 28 June.
