Suspected drug dealers arrested
Heroin and needles
The raids were part of a county-wide campaign
Two people have been arrested by police in Lancashire during early morning drugs raids.

The raids, in Fleetwood, involved 30 officers and were organised on Tuesday as part of the force's ongoing Operation Nimrod.

The initiative has been made possible after officers were tipped off by residents about drug dealing in their area.

Warrants were executed at three houses in the Hathaway Road and Birkbeck Place areas of the town.

'Not tolerated'

The two arrested will be questioned about suspected drugs-related offences later on Tuesday.

Homes across Lancashire have been raided in the on-going operation.

Community police officers have been distributing leaflets to residents, encouraging them to pass on any information about drug dealing.

The force said the ongoing raids send a clear message that dealing will not be tolerated in the county.
