Notes : Study BBC promotion campaigns promoting their programmes. Discuss the enigma codes introduced in this 1st promo of the campaign - look at the ways in which the clip stimulates the interest of the audience in the BBC Six Nations programmes while also introducing the narrative of the campaign which was used to promote the competition. How does the promo work to raise awareness of the competition amongst the audience? Pupils can make a list of the designational elements of rugby used and note against each element the context of its use. Note the iconography and the references to rugby and Wales. Note the cliches expressed relating rugby to men.
