Coal House' - reality history series. Opening titles and sequence.

Extract from the first episode of reality history series 'Coal House', where the reality tv genre is introduced along with the families taking part. Series broadcast on BBC One Wales and BBC Four. The families enter the miner's cottages for the first time. Initial focus on the lack of amenities - no bath or kitchen or running water. Worries on what will be missed from modern-day life are discussed. Shows conditions in the houses and emphasises space problems faced by large families in 1927.
