Destruction caused by the eruption of a volcano on Montserrat.

Views of the sort of destruction caused by the eruption of a major volcano. Shows a deserted town and a phone box under ash, following a huge volcanic eruption in 1997 on the Caribbean island of Montserrat. Two thirds of the island's population were forced to flee. Even now life on the island has not returned to pre-eruption levels.
