Conditions leading to the Merthyr Rising of 1831 and the raising of the Red Flag.

Exploration of the factors that caused the Merthyr Rising of 1831- workers felt a sense of unrest due to their wages and working conditions. During this revolt the red flag was raised for the first time in British history.
