1998: Bill Clinton admits Monica Lewinsky affair
US President Bill Clinton admitted in August 1998 that he had an inappropriate relationship with former White House intern Monica Lewinsky.
In a televised address Mr Clinton told the American people that he took full responsibility for his actions.
