1967: Lunar New Year in Hong Kong
In 1967, the BBC's Anthony Lawrence reported from Hong Kong on the first Lunar New Year since the Cultural Revolution.
During the previous year, Mao Zedong, then-leader Communist leader of China, had launched a political campaign calling on the youth to help him purge capitalist influences and bourgeois thinking in government, teaching, the media and arts.
Known as the Cultural Revolution, it plunged the country into a decade of chaos and led to massive social, economic and political upheaval in China.
Almost six months after it started, the BBC's Lawrence reported on the Cultural Revolution's affect on the Lunar New Year celebrations - one of the biggest events of the year for many in China and when people usually travel to spend time with family or friends.
This clip was originally broadcast on 9 Feb 1967.
