The Irishman takes a two-set lead for the first time, and is in sparkling form. Henry has not done much wrong, but Doherty is punishing any small error.

Henry began well, and built up a 43-0 lead. But both players are looking sharp, and a small error ultimately cost the Scotsman the frame.

It has been a high-quality opening to the match, and Henry's closing break of 79 shows Henry is not suffering from nerves.

But Doherty regains his composure and produces a string of impressive pots to make a break of 52, his biggest of the match so far, and take the frame.

Both players are producing high-quality safety play, both are potting well, and neither man has made many errors.

Henry takes full advantage with the reds well split, and boosts his confidence with a stylish break of 89 to win the opening frame.
