Casagrande: Experienced although a rare Tour starter
Despite approaching his 32nd birthday, Casagrande remains as fresh as ever.
But he also has a reputation for missing out on the major prizes and bad luck.
His best result to date in one of the major tours was second in the Giro d'Italia. But he is consistent. The 31-year-old remains a feature of the world's top 10 in recent ranking lists. Is now in his 11th year as a Tour professional and was number one in the world at the end of the 2000 season.
