Rusedski crashes out
Greg Rusedski
Rusedski was poor against Saulnier
Greg Rusedski is out of the AAPT Championships in Adelaide.

The British number two was hammered 6-2 6-2 in the second round by unseeded Frenchman Cyril Saulnier.

The 30-year-old Rusedski had made a winning return to action in the first round after an injury-ravaged 2003.

"It's only my second match back so I have to keep everything in perspective," he said. "I can only improve from this performance."

Rusedski had been on the sidelines with foot, knee and back problems since losing both his singles matches in last September's Davis Cup defeat in Morocco.

He said: "I thought (Saulnier) played well but I didn't really do too much today. I didn't handle the conditions well enough and I hit too many double faults.

"If I'm not serving well, it puts me in a tough situation. He played well today. I have to give him credit, he struck the ball well, but I didn't do enough out there."
