Saracens suffered a dramatic extra-time exit from the European Challenge Cup as they were beaten 31-16 by Brive.
The Zurich Premiership side went into the away leg with a 13-point advantage, but an 85th-minute conversion from Valentin Courrent forced extra-time.
Brive flanker Alexandre Maleyrie then scored the crucial try and Saracens winger Richard Haughton was held up over the line in the final minute.
Brive will now play Pau, while Sale face Connacht in the other semi-final.
Pau edged out Montferrand 50-47 on aggregate on Friday.
And Sale stayed in contention for an automatic Heineken Cup place next season despite losing 17-15 to Agen on Saturday.
The Sharks, who were missing captain Jason Robinson because of flu, went through to the last four by virtue of their 16-point lead from the first leg.
