Week two of the Six Nations was not the best for hookers, and Ireland's Jerry Flannery was affected by the malaise.
Flannery was almost a passenger in the first half against Italy at the Stadio Flaminio, especially in the loose, although his line-out throwing did remain consistent.
The Munster star made two clear handling errors before he was replaced by Rory Best after 65 minutes.
VERDICT: Hardly a vintage week for prospective Lions hookers, but Flannery will need to make a vast improvement against England to impress the selectors.
