Your level of skiing and what type of skier you are will determine which type of skis you buy.
Most skiers these days tend to buy all-terrain carving skis because they make turning easier but you can also go at great speeds as well.
Good advice is essential and be honest about your skills with the shop assistant!
If you are buying in a resort, ask your ski teacher to go along with you.
Prices start at £60 for junior skis and £150 for adults. Second hand skis might be worth considering too.
