Dutch centre-back Marcel Seip is on the verge of signing a new contract with Plymouth Argyle.
The 24-year-old has been impressed since signing a four-month deal with Argyle at the end of August and boss Ian Holloway is eager to keep him.
"As far as I am concerned, we've agreed a deal with his agent," Holloway said.
"He has done very well so far. I don't think we have lost since he has been starting for us and he has added to us on and off the field."
Since making his debut as a substitute in the Pilgrims' 1-0 defeat at Southampton, Seip has started every Championship match at centre-back.
Argyle have won four and drawn three of those games.
Holloway said: "I have been very pleased with how he has settled into the group. It is all about the group, the team, the squad, and he has added to that.
