Colchester winger Simon Hackney has joined League Two side Oxford United on loan until the end of the season.
Hackney, 26, who has featured just twice for the U's this term, spent time on loan at Morecambe last season.
Colchester boss John Ward told the club website: "This is a good move for Simon. He needs to go out and play somewhere and I'm pleased for him.
"Simon will be a good asset for them, they're just outside the play-offs and he could help them break in."
