Morecambe have completed the signing of Colchester winger Simon Hackney on a month's loan.
Hackney, 26, joined the U's from Carlisle United in January 2009 and has made 13 league appearances for the club this season.
Morecambe manager Sammy McIlroy told the club website: "I've known Simon since he was a youngster and I was boss at Stockport.
"I like the way he plays and he will be a great addition to the squad."
The former Woodley Sports player will be available for the Shrimps' next match against Grimsby on Saturday.
