Karl Darlow has thanked supporters for their "incredible backing" during his three-year stint at Elland Road.
It was confirmed on Tuesday that the Wales international has joined Manchester United on a free transfer after his Leeds contract expired.
The 35-year-old made 38 appearances and kept 10 clean sheets for the Whites after signing from Newcastle United for an undisclosed fee in July 2023.
"To Leeds United," Darlow wrote in an Instagram post, external. "What a special chapter this has been.
"Helping this club achieve promotion back to the Premier League is something I'll always be proud of, and to know the club will be staying where it belongs makes it even more rewarding.
"To my team-mates, coaches, staff and everyone behind the scenes, thank you for making my time here so memorable. I leave with amazing memories, friendships and immense pride in having played a part in this club's journey.
"To the fans, thank you for the incredible backing. Your passion for this club is truly unmatched! It has been an honour to represent you all.
"I'll be watching on from afar and wishing everyone connected with Leeds nothing but success. Thank you for everything. Darlow."
And the fact the Whites haven't been able to keep hold of Darlow has left BBC Radio Leeds' Adam Pope "disappointed".
Speaking on the latest episode of Don't Go To Bed Just Yet podcast, which focused on an impending "goalkeeper crisis" at Leeds, Pope added: "He had a great season last year, so it's disappointing that's happened.
"If Leeds then don't go with Lucas Perri, then they're going to be without a senior goalkeeper as it stands, with Illan Meslier having gone to Arsenal now."
Jonny Buchan said: "Manchester United are going to offer him more money than Leeds would. He may as well sit on the bench at Old Trafford where they're fighting on multiple fronts in terms of Europe and domestic competitions."

Plenty of players have made names for themselves at this World Cup, from goalkeepers like Cape Verde's Vozinha and Paraguay's Orlando Gill to New Zealand midfielder Elijah Just.
But though they might not have been familiar to fans, the extent of modern scouting means clubs all over the world will already have known about many of them – so how have their heroics at the tournament affected their standing in the game, and their value in the transfer market?
More than the Score's Mani Djazmi is joined Ben Littlemore from Transfermarkt, one of the world's foremost football databases. Lutz Pfannenstiel, sporting director at Aberdeen, also shares his footballing knowledge in today's episode.
Jon: Simply amazing signing. Some Champions League clubs were also in for him. Leeds' recruitment team have worked wonders since last summer and I'm sure they will continue to do so this summer.
Ben: Unbelievable signing! Cant wait to see him in a Leeds shirt.
Keith: A good signing because Harry will provide the skill and pace to our existing forward line I feel was lacking last season.
Ziggy: Fantastic signing. Another one of the Welsh Wall to help our ambitions of top half rather than relegation battlers.
Dan: Super happy with this signing. Wilson is a proven Premier League player who would have been in demand. Thought we'd lost our chance to sign him but just goes to show that we are on the up and it's getting recognised.

Need to replace Pascal Strujk with a quality defender now, though. Keep building a decent squad. Only have to look at England national team for why strength in depth is important.

New Leeds signing Harry Wilson says the "ambitions and size of the club" drew him to joining as a free agent.
The 29-year-old forward enjoyed his best goalscoring return in the Premier League last term with 10 goals in 36 appearances for Fulham and had interest from several clubs on the expiry of his contract with the Cottagers at the end of June.
"I had a long, hard think about things and came to the decision Leeds would be the best place for me.
"Seeing how tough they were to play against last season and how solid they are, I wanted to come here to try to improve the team.
"I feel like I'm in a really good place to come here and hit the ground running.
"At the age I'm at now, I feel like I'm in the prime of my career. I feel really good and really fit and strong. Being one of the main players is something I want to take on my shoulders."

Leeds have announced the signing of Harry Wilson on a four-year deal.
The 29-year-old Wales international was a free agent after his contract at Fulham expired at the end of June.
Wilson joined Fulham in 2021 for £12m from Liverpool and scored 36 goals in 187 appearances over five years, including 11 goals and eight assists in a stellar campaign last season.
In their announcement, Leeds said Wilson chose the Whites over "several offers from elsewhere" and stressed his capability to play "across the forward areas".

On the latest episode of Don't Go To Bed Just Yet, Jonny Buchan, Adam Pope and Kaiser Chiefs' bassist Simon Rix discuss Daniel Farke's contract situation and whether he could sign a new deal before the Premier League season begins.
The Leeds United boss is under contract until summer 2027.
Pope said: "You're negotiating so many facets and at this point in time I would imagine recruitment is a major thing. You wouldn't put your signature to a contract where you feel that you're not happy with the recruitment process so everything has got to be gradually going on, hence I think it's a series of negotiations which can change a bit over the next few months. I wouldn't be too perturbed if it wasn't announced beforehand."
Rix added: "I do think that is a good point that players would like to know who the manager is but at the same time people were signing for Manchester City when they didn't know if Pep Guardiola was staying or not, people were signing for teams where they didn't know who the manager was going to be.
"So maybe it's less of a thing now because people have directors of football and all of that stuff.
"I do think that is a card Daniel Farke has which is 'there are x, y and z players who want to sign for Leeds United and you've agreed the deals but they want to know that I'm going to be here'. That is a card he could play."

Here are some of your comments:
Stephen: Would take John Stones as a replacement for Pascal Struijk, even if he's not left-footed. Would not want Lloyd Kelly, who had a disaster for Juventus.
Johan: Gideon Mensah. Performed brilliantly for Ghana against England. Underrated left-footed left-back who would not only provide competition for Gudmundsson but could also play in a back three as a straight replacement for the departed Strujik.
Noah: Do not sign Shea Charles. He scored one goal last season for a club with little demands. Finish the deal with Harry Wilson and go from there.
Andrew: From what I've seen so far at the World Cup, Austria's Xavier Schlager could be a useful acquisition on a free. Stones would also be a beneficial recruit, bringing Premier League experience to our backline.
Robert: Do not sign the Japan goalie. He is about the same standard as Karl Darlow, though better than Lucas Perri. We should be looking for a better standard than Darlow or problems may loom.
Noah: Stones. He's 32, not exactly in his prime and leaving Manchester City as a free agent - he would be a very important player for Leeds if we got him but I honestly don't think he'd start for Champions League teams.
