Egypt's president Hosni Mubarak will be hosting Fifa president Sepp Blatter in an attempt to gain his support for the country's 2010 World Cup bid.
Blatter, who is currently in Cairo, was invited by the Egyptian ministry of
youth and sports and is accompanied by the Asian Football Confederation
president Mohamed Bin Hammam.
Blatter and Hammam are scheduled to visit a number of sports facilities
and tourist sites during their stay in Egypt.
Youth and Sports Minister Dr Alie El Din Helal has emphasized the
importance of the visit, with the vote for 2010 World Cup host less than two months away.
"Seventy million Egyptians are enthusiastic and dreaming about hosting the
2010 World Cup," he said.
