Hassan was offered a recall in April, but did not play

Legendary Egypt striker Hossam Hassan is expected to be recalled to the national team
after a two-year absence.
The 37-year-old veteran is favourite to lead the selection of 28
players who will face Trinidad and Tobago in a friendly on 31 March.
It will be the first callup for the captain of the Pharaohs since his
participation in the 2002 Nations Cup in Mali.
Hassan's outstanding performance with his club Zamalek has earned them the top spot in the league, and he has scored the winning goals for his club in the last two
games.
Hassan is the most capped African player and the best international
scorer in the history of his country.
One of Egypt's best known forwards, Hassan has not been immune from
controversy.
His decision to join Zamalek from arch-rivals Al Ahly in 2000 caused
shockwaves in the domestic league.
Known for his volatile temperament, Hassan has been involved in several
disputes with previous managers of Ahly, Zamalek and the Egyptian national
team.
