Cvancara start 'a good sign for Celtic'

Sportscene pundits James McFadden and Jackie McNamara were impressed by new signing Tomas Cvancara's impact on the Celtic team after the Czech Republic international scored against Falkirk.

"He's looked OK since he's come in," McNamara said. "To generate the power and accuracy, it's a fantastic header.

"That's why he's been brought in - Celtic have struggled to get on the end of crosses and he'll be pleased to get a goal."

McFadden believes he should get better as the season progresses.

"An assist against Hearts and a goal against Falkirk," the former Scotland forward said. "He's certainly started well and if that's him lacking sharpness, it's a good sign for Celtic."
