What a terrific point, the best of the match so far.

Flavio Cobolli shows some great defence to keep the point going but Alexander Zverev eventually gets it done in a 23-shot rally.

    Deuce.

Cobolli looks to have woken up now. The fist pumps, and even a little grin, suggest he is feeling more at ease.

The holds are becoming more comfortable - the next step is to somehow pinch Zverev's serve.

So far he has only won six receiving points in the match...

Flavio Cobolli is getting out of the siesta mode. He could do with one little espresso!

  12. 'Cobolli is serving better'published at 15:27 BST 7 June

Sometimes Flavio Cobolli gets a bit more comfortable. He does know how to engage the crowd, and he is serving better in set number two.

Flavio Cobolli is struggling to make any inroads into Alexander Zverev's serve, but on his own serve he's looking much more settled than he did in the first set.

One Cobolli forehand from the baseline goes long and Zverev finds a fantastic backhand winner down the line to make it 40-30, but Zverev can't return his serve on the next point and the game is Cobolli's.

  14. 'Zverev has been so dominant'published at 15:22 BST 7 June

Flavio Cobolli can't seem to find a way to find any solution on the return of serve.

Alexander Zverev has been so dominant on all of these points.

Another hold to love for Alexander Zverev, who has won 12 of 13 points on his serve in the second set.

More like it from Flavio Cobolli - a comfortable service hold wrapped up with an overhead smash, after which he whips his racquet around his head to try to get the crowd to make some more noise.

That was the Italian's sixth winner, compared to 18 unforced errors.

Again, the negativity Flavio Cobolli is sending to his team - he really needs to snap out of that now.

If you have got momentum going with you, you have to believe in what worked in the first set. If you're on a losing set like that, you almost have to forget it.

  19. Zverev holdspublished at 15:16 BST 7 June

    *Cobolli 1-6 1-2 Zverev

How well Alexander Zverev served was always going to be key to the destiny of the title and the German has started very well on that score.

A hold to love and he's back in front in set two.

Currently 77% of first serves in by the second seed and, when they go in, he's winning 80% of the points.

  20. Cobolli holdspublished at 15:13 BST 7 June

    Cobolli 1-6 1-1 Zverev*

Flavio Cobolli was broken in three of his four service games in the first set.

He yells "come on" as he wins the first point when Alexander Zverev nets, but then the 10th seed tries a backhand drop shot and misses it wide.

The Italian wins the next three points to clinch the game and there's no doubting who the crowd on Court Philippe Chatrier are behind - they want to see a match here.
