Former British number one on BBC Two

Perhaps Novak Djokovic isn't quite at the balls as much as he used to be, but I do think that has changed his mindset in terms of how aggressive he is from the back of the court.

He would've maybe stayed in rallies longer when he was younger, but now he is prepared to pull the trigger earlier in rallies. If anything, he is playing a more aggressive game from the back of the court.

An unperturbed Novak Djokovic replies to his opponent's hold to love with one of his own.

Who is going to blink first here? Not a break point - or even sniff of one really - in sight so far.

  3. Auger-Aliassime holds to lovepublished at 18:03 BST 7 July

Speaking of Tim Henman, as we were a couple of entries ago, he suggested pre-match that Felix Auger-Aliassime might not have the same 'scar tissue' when it comes to facing Novak Djokovic.

That's because the pair have only met twice - one win each - whereas a lot of the Serb's opponents often have a poor head-to-head record against the 24-time Grand Slam champ.

Tim might be on to something as the Canadian registers yet another excellent, untroubled, service game, holding to love.

I know that this isn't necessarily tennis related, but I recorded it as having taken round about 4 minutes 20 seconds for Tim Henman to get from the BBC studio to the commentary box for the Djokovic Auger-Aliassime match!

Still as fleet of foot as he was when he was on court...

  6. Djokovic digs himself out of small holepublished at 17:58 BST 7 July

    *Auger-Aliassime 2-3 Djokovic

Novak Djokovic finds only net with a relatively routine forehand to slip 15-30 down on serve. But a weak return into the same said net from Auger-Aliassime alleviates the Serb's concerns.

Two unreturnable crackers off Djokovic's racquet later and we remain on serve on Centre. Confident start from both players.

    Osaka 6-7 (4-7) 4-6 Muchova

Karolina Muchova takes the applause from the crowd on Court One.

"It's unbelievable," she says at the start of her on-court interview. She can rest up now before a huge semi-final against American seventh seed Coco Gauff on Thursday.

That was seriously impressive. It was just the complete package for Muchova, the service was great, the forehand was great, backhand, it was relentless. She was absolutely faultless.

Osaka did not play poorly at all until the second last game. Maybe a little bit of pressure.

    Auger-Aliassime 2-2 Djokovic*

Few signs of nerves from Felix Auger-Aliassime against one of the players in tennis's GOAT conversation.

Two very solid service games thus far and now an excellent return help him move 0-15 up on the Djokovic serve. Not for long, though, as the next return finds the net for 15-15.

Karolina Muchova is through to the Wimbledon semi-finals for the very first time!

Sealed with back-to-back aces! Superb performance to win a brilliant, high-class match in straight sets.

Naomi Osaka will rue some uncharacteristic errors at key moments but she played very well, Muchova just played that little bit better.

What a serve to start off this service game from Muchova. There was nothing passive about that.

  13. Auger-Aliassime 'longing for a little more in victory'published at 17:50 BST 7 July

    *Auger-Aliassime 1-2 Djokovic

    Todd Woodbridge
Former Wimbledon doubles champion on BBC One

At the end of his last match, we saw a bit of fire come out of Felix Auger-Aliassime. It is something that hasn't always been there.

There was a real piece of temperament from him, he didn't behave badly but he looked like he was longing for a little more in victory than we've seen from him. He isn't necessarily scared to take on the person up the other end at the minute, which is good in my opinion.

  14. Muchova will serve for the matchpublished at 17:49 BST 7 July

    Osaka 6-7 (4-7) 4-5 Muchova*

    Oh no!

Another break point and Naomi Osaka comes in to take on a drive volley - and puts it wide!

She could have let it bounce and had a much easier shot.

Instead, the impressive Karolina Muchova will serve for the match. A big few minutes coming up.

    *Auger-Aliassime 1-2 Djokovic

Novak Djokovic might not be as booming a server as his taller opponent but man he's accurate.

Even the big Canadian is struggling to reach the Serb's serves, so precise is the placement of them.

A superb snapshot, pick-up cross-court forehand seals another hold.

Naomi Osaka was feeling her calf a little bit after double-faulting.

I’m not sure how much of an issue that is, but there might be a bit of tightness there as she’s struggling to land her serves right now and Karolina Muchova is pushing for a decisive breakthrough.

  18. Osaka saves break pointpublished at 17:47 BST 7 July

    Osaka 6-7 (4-7) 4-4 Muchova*

This match has been a joy to watch with some brilliant, clean hitting but twice in this game, Naomi Osaka errs with second serves.

Double-fault both times and when she follows up the second with a forehand into the net, Karolina Muchova has a break point.

Big moment... but now Muchova makes the error, a poor slice that drifts well wide.

    Deuce.

  19. 'You have to pin Auger-Aliassime on backhand side'published at 17:46 BST 7 July

    Auger-Aliassime 1-1 Djokovic*

    Naomi Broady
Former British player on BBC One

Felix Auger-Aliassime loves the serve and first shot on his forehand. He actually finds his forehand 75% of the time, which is more any other quarter-finalist left in the draw. You really have to pin him on the backhand side for him to take it on.

His forehand is a massive weapon. He gets 80mph on it compared to just 65mph on his backhand side.

He has also been encouraged to come forward more by his team, so that's something he is doing more and more since the backend of last year.

    Auger-Aliassime 1-1 Djokovic*

Felix Auger-Aliassime is the third seed, remember. OK, Novak Djokovic has slipped down the rankings a bit because he plays fewer tournaments in the twilight of his career.

But the Canadian is a real contender and a real threat to Djokovic's hopes of making more records tumble.

And the giant 25-year-old shows exactly why in his opening service game, thumping down a couple of absolute haymakers on his way to an impressive hold.
