Mirra Andreeva is feeling it right now, there's a bit of extra zip behind her groundstrokes as she tries to put this French Open final beyond Maja Chwalinska.

The world number 114 shows she's still in the fight, though, with an excellent backhand down the line for a winner.

    15-30.

But then Chwalinska can't repeat the feat, sending a backhand long on the next point.

This feels a bit like Halep v Ostapenko in 2017. All the expectation is on Andreeva whereas Chwalinska has a bit of a free hit.

Mirra Andreeva is showing her maturity. She accepted the ball coming back because of the wind, and she didn't panic or try to overhit it.

That was the rally of this final, by far. Incredible.

If you want an illustration of how windy it is courtside, I've just seen two fans have their stylish white panama hats whipped off their heads by the breeze.

Hopefully the Coupe Suzanne Lenglen, perched just in front of them, has enough weight to stay secure.

Again, the wind plays a huge factor in this game. Maja Chwalinska missed it by miles as she is playing with a bit of wind behind her.

At 30-30, Maja Chwalinska is momentarily halted by a gust of wind that picks up some of the Roland Garros clay and swirls it in her direction.

A forehand drifts long and Chwalinska is now break point down...

And a sliced backhand by the Polish qualifier finds the net.

At 4-3, you'd usually say that would be a key moment as regards the destiny of the set, but both players have found it hard to hold serve so far in this final.

Fair to say it's not been a high quality start so far...

The tension of playing such an occasion - and the unsettling wind - have been the contributing factors.

Eventually Maja Chwalinska calmed down to get a first hold of serve and the Polish fans reacted as you'd expect - by dancing and chanting in their seats.

How Mirra Andreeva copes with the crowd - especially if Chwalinska gets on top - will be a defining factor in this final.
