That's more like it, Maddison Inglis!

After a first-set bagel, the 28-year-old is on the board on Rod Laver Arena.

She opened up two break point opportunities for herself, thought she had it at the first attempt but her forehand went millimetres wide, then forced Iga Swiatek to make a backhand error with a powerful forehand shot.

Her arms are up in the air - that's what she needed!

Swiatek has been so impressive, she is not wasting any time.

I think Inglis has done well so make it a little bit competitive at times, but overall it's an annihilation.

I would be so thrilled for her if she can get a game, but I'm not convinced at the moment. It's a tough ask.

Iga Swiatek is not in the mood to mess around today!

The Pole takes the first set in just over half an hour - and it is a bagel at that.

Maddison Inglis is giving her all out there, but the world number two is just too powerful, too clinical and too focused.

Some beautiful net play and a smacked backhand winner is enough to seal the opening set for Swiatek, who is racing towards her 14th Grand Slam quarter-final.

After missing a simple forehand for 40-0, Luciano Darderi pulls his shirt over his head and has a conversation with himself and anyone who will listen.

The silent and largely expressionless Jannik Sinner holds to love.

He hasn't offered up a break point since the opening game of the match.

  13. Inglis playing the 'right' tennispublished at 08:44 GMT 26 January

    Swiatek 5-0 Inglis*

    Annabel Croft
Former British number one on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

There is a debate amongst coaches; would you rather your player play the 'right' way and end up losing, or playing the wrong way but you might get a better score?

I would say Inglis is playing the right way. She is doing everything she can but it's just a total mismatch in terms of rankings.

Iga Swiatek is feeling good out there.

The Pole lets out a few 'come ons' as she races to another comfortable 40-15 service hold.

She is only getting 41% of her first serves in at the moment, but luckily that doesn't matter too much right now.

Luciano Darderi is increasingly animated in this set, but in a good way. He's pumping his fist and roaring after every point he wins.

This opening set is running away from Maddison Inglis now.

The crowd can sense it too, the atmosphere is very edgy inside Rod Laver Arena.

Iga Swiatek might not have seen out the first break point at 30-40, but Maddison Inglis' netted forehand attempt gives her a 3-0 lead in this fourth-round match.

    Tough times.
