  1. Game and second set Zhengpublished at 14:24 BST 29 June

    Zheng 6-7 (7-9) 6-2 0-0 Norrie*

A confident Michael Zheng brings up three break points as Cameron Norrie slumps his shoulders after going into the net.

Zheng wins the second set and levels the match as Norrie can't keep a difficult forehand in play.

British 26th seed Norrie never really got going in that second set and will be hoping he can move up a gear in the third.

  2. Sinner finding winnerspublished at 14:24 BST 29 June

    *Sinner 4-6 2-0 Kecmanovic

There was plenty of excited chatter among the crowd as Jannik Sinner and Miomir Kecmanovic walked to their chairs at the conclusion of the first set.

The vast majority of those with tickets to day one on Centre Court probably didn't expect this start - from either player - but now they're beginning to sense they're in for a real ding-dong here.

Sinner continued to look out of sorts in the opener, and Kecmanovic had taken full advantage so far.

But, as we know, the scoring system means that momentum can be rather short-lived in this sport. Four winners and just the one unforced error allows an improving Sinner to take charge of set two.

  3. Dart holdspublished at 14:24 BST 29 June

    *Ostapenko 6-4 1-4 Dart

Jelena Ostapenko is making me feel better about my own ball toss as it continues to be all over the place with her serve.

She can of course still hit it miles better than me, though, and despite an early double fault she holds and gets on the board in this second set.

Harriet Dart is having to contend with some very bright sunshine right in her eyes at the moment, and with her first double-fault finds herself at deuce on her own serve.

Ostapenko continues to go big, but it's too big from the Latvian and Dart keeps her advantage in this second set.

  4. Sinner breakspublished at 14:22 BST 29 June

    *Sinner 4-6 2-0 Kecmanovic

And Jannik Sinner gets the break at the first opportunity, although there's a shade of luck involved.

Sinner puts a forehand on the baseline and then slips as he prepares for the return - it's into the net though.

A sigh of relief as the world number one looks to wrestle back some control in this match.

  5. Break points Sinnerpublished at 14:21 BST 29 June

    Sinner 4-6 1-0 Kecmanovic*

Jannik Sinner is on a mission now.

The Italian is up against it and fighting back. He earns three break points.

  6. Zheng breaks againpublished at 14:20 BST 29 June

    *Zheng 6-7 (7-9) 5-2 Norrie

Cameron Norrie puts a backhand wide while off-balance to give Michael Zheng break point.

The American then pulls off the shot of the match to secure the break, as he whips a lob over Norrie which just drops inside the baseline.

That brought some oohs and aahs from the court two crowd and Zheng will now serve for the second set.

  7. Sinner holdspublished at 14:18 BST 29 June

    Sinner 4-6 1-0 Kecmanovic*

It would be easy to focus on Jannik Sinner's struggles in this match - he's picked up 15 unforced errors - but that would be doing a disservice to Miomir Kecmanovic.

Kecmanovic is playing aggressively and refusing to take a backwards step.

There's little he can do to prevent Sinner from taking the opening game of the second set to 15, though.

  8. 'Sinner has time to settle'published at 14:17 BST 29 June

I think it's just about him finding his footing. Obviously there's the controversy surrounding the loss at Roland Garros and we haven't seen him play at all.

Kecmanovic is posting solid numbers behind the serve and benefiting from the mistakes and errors from Sinner.

But Sinner has time to settle in.

  9. Zheng holdspublished at 14:16 BST 29 June

    Zheng 6-7 (7-9) 4-2 Norrie*

Sensing a chance at 15-30, Cameron Norrie is gifted two break points as Michael Zheng double faults.

The American gets out of trouble with two strong first serves, before wrapping the game up with a deep backhand winner across court.

Zheng showed some impressive composure there.

  10. Postpublished at 14:16 BST 29 June

    *Ostapenko 6-4 0-3 Dart

There's a group of schoolkids up in the heavens of Court One and they've just yelled "Come on Harriet" at the top of their voices.

That gets a chuckle from the rest of the crowd before they follow suit, cheering on the British number five.

  11. Rublev taken to deciderpublished at 14:15 BST 29 June

    Rublev 4-6 7-6 (8-6) 6-3 3-6 Roman Safiullin

Andrey Rublev has been taken to a fifth set by Roman Safiullin.

The 12th seed led by two sets to one but was broken in his opening service game in the fourth set.

He later failed to convert either of his two break points as Safiullin took the set 6-3.

Safiullin, who came through three rounds of qualifying to enter the main draw, reached the third round at Wimbledon in 2024.

    *Sinner 4-6 0-0 Kecmanovic

    Mark Woodforde

It's a surprise that Sinner is yet to see a break point when returning the Kecmanovic serve.

  13. Dart holdspublished at 14:14 BST 29 June

    *Ostapenko 6-3 0-3 Dart

Jelena Ostapenko is in no mood to mess about here as she hits another winner to bring up break-back point.

But Harriet Dart is in no mood to hand it back as she once again puts in some superb defence to give herself the chance to back up the early break.

Sealed with an ace and it is a 3-0 lead for the Brit here in the second.

  14. Game and first set - Kecmanovicpublished at 14:13 BST 29 June

    *Sinner 4-6 0-0 Kecmanovic

Miomir Kecmanovic takes the set at the first time of asking after winning his ninth successive point.

It's just the second time that Kecmanovic has won a set against Sinner across five meetings.

  15. Set points Kecmanovicpublished at 14:13 BST 29 June

    Sinner 4-5 Kecmanovic*

Make that eight points in a row for Miomir Kecmanovic as he leads 40-0 to put Jannik Sinner firmly on the ropes.

    Kecmanovic has three set points.

  16. Norrie holdspublished at 14:13 BST 29 June

    *Zheng 6-7 (7-9) 3-2 Norrie

Cameron Norrie comes through his service game relatively unscathed to keep in touch with Michael Zheng.

Norrie is the only British seed remaining in the Wimbledon singles draws following women's 30th seed Emma Raducanu's withdrawal with injury on Sunday.

Norrie, a semi-finalist at the All England Club in 2022, is the 26th seed this year.

  17. Ruud down a set and a breakpublished at 14:12 BST 29 June

    *Ruud 4-6 0-2 Hurkacz

Three-time Grand Slam finalist Casper Ruud has lost the opening set to Poland's Hubert Hurkacz 6-4.

The Norwegian saved four break points before finally being broken to love in the seventh game.

Ruud, the 11th seed, has never progressed beyond the second round at Wimbledon and has been broken again at the start of the second set.

  18. Kecmanovic breakspublished at 14:11 BST 29 June

    Sinner 4-5 Kecmanovic*

Jannik Sinner strokes a forehand into the net and Miomir Kecmanovic gets it!

    Incredible stuff.

Sinner led 40-0 but lost five points in a row to hand over the game.

Kecmanovic will serve for the set.

  19. Dart 'keeping the ball low and short'published at 14:11 BST 29 June

    Ostapenko 6-3 0-2 Dart*

    Martina Navratilova
Nine-time Wimbledon singles champion on BBC Two

A great chance for Harriet Dart to get a painkiller of a scoreline!

Because Jelena Ostapenko has a pretty big swing and not much top spin on the ball, she likes the deeper balls so she has more court to work with. When the ball is inside the baseline, she hits her return long quite often.

So keeping the ball low and short is very effective against her.

  20. Break point Kecmanovicpublished at 14:09 BST 29 June

    *Sinner 4-4 Kecmanovic

Jannik Sinner has completely lost his rhythm.

Another double fault hands over advantage and a chance for Miomir Kecmanovic to break.
