You see John Higgins' break-off shot - he seemed to intentionally play that an awful lot thicker than normal.
I wonder if he's been watching Shaun Murphy and tried to change his break-off style slightly.
Higgins 11-10 Murphy
Shaun Murphy capitalises on a slightly more expansive John Higgins break to cruise through to 45 points before his attempt to open the pack further leaves him with a tricky red which he manages to cut into the corner pocket.
Once again he's looked in a great rhythm.

John Higgins should have won that in one visit then an uncharacteristic positional shot. It's been the story of the match - players get on a roll and win the fame in one visit but let their opponent back in.

Three reds left on the table and it's a game of cat and mouse until John Higgins pots one of the reds and the pink to get the frame over the line.
The early break of 63 did the damage.

More run of the ball for John Higgins, surely destined to win the title with so much luck on his side. Shaun Murphy missing frame balls more often than not is really frustrating. Crazy game that is snooker

Shaun Murphy with a break of 15 before the finest of cuts to a red on the cushion goes close to the edge of the pocket, but simply refuses to drop.
John Higgins tots up a few more points then rattles a red against the jaws again.
Three reds left on the table with Murphy back at it.

The audible gasps from the Crucible crowd tell you he cannot.
A routine red in the middle of the table rattles the jaws of the corner pocket and John Higgins grimaces and taps his cue against the floor in frustration.
After a break of 63 Higgins has allowed Shaun Murphy a chance.

John Higgins nudges his break up to 47 before surveying the table. He needs the spider for a long red into the corner before potting it.
Can he secure the frame in one visit?

The longest ever Crucible frame earlier not only delayed the start of the third session of this match but also led to the postponement of a world media championship quarter-final.
With journalists busy dealing with the reaction to the 14th frame of Mark Allen and Wu Yize's match, it meant the table in the Winter Garden in Sheffield became unavailable.
Talk about scheduling issues!

Shaun Murphy's break once again leaves John Higgins facing tricky safety situations, but he's able to navigate his way through them on this occasion.
The early stages of a break - up to 13 - before he adds seven more by bridging over a red to cut the black into the corner pocket.

I keep waiting to see Shaun Murphy do what he did in the last frame every frame, but he just can't seem to get momentum going.
I can't see them being separated - I think it'll be 12-12 at the end of this.

Ronnie O'Sullivan and Stephen Hendry share the record with seven world titles each, while Ray Reardon and Steve Davis follow closely with six apiece.
John Higgins and Mark Selby sit just behind them, both on four titles.
As Higgins approaches his 51st birthday, it raises the question of how many more opportunities he’ll have to add to the championships he secured in 1998, 2007, 2009, and 2011.

Everyone can miss anything at any stage, that's the incredible thing about snooker.
Even the greats - Ronnie, Xintong, Murphy - we've seen them all miss the easiest balls that they could pot with their eyes shut.
It's just the situation that makes you do it, and not giving the shot 100% commitment.

This time Shaun Murphy didn't have a lapse in concentration and it was a frame-winning break.
For Peter Ebdon [Murphy's coach] concentration was probably his biggest asset - he never let up, no matter how long the frames and matches were.
So you'd think that would be one part of the game he could really help Shaun with.
Higgins 10-10 Murphy
Much more commanding from Shaun Murphy.
He effectively wins the frame before turning on the style - flamboyantly knocking the pink into the top-left corner pocket.
A break of 82 before he misses a red to curtail his hunt for a century but he will not mind that too much.
All square heading into the mid-session interval.

At the moment Shaun Murphy doesn't looks like missing anything but then he puts in a careless shot. He would like to win this frame before the mid-session interval on this visit.
Higgins 10-9 Murphy
Shaun Murphy has looked fluent in this session so far, only for a lapse in concentration to let him down when he seems have the frame at his mercy.
A break of 36 and he's once again looking good to win the frame. But will he?

Shaun Murphy has had that in him where he scores 40, 50 points and then careless misses.
It's why he hasn't been able to shake John Higgins off in this match.
