    By the end of play today, eight players will have been whittled down to four and we will know the semi-final line-up for the 2026 World Snooker Championship.

    All four quarter-finals are very finely poised and we should all be in for a treat as they reach their conclusion.

    In the morning session, Mark Allen and Barry Hawkins begin locked at 8-8 with 13 frames the target for victory - they will play to a finish.

    On the other side of the curtain, Neil Robertson takes a 5-3 lead into the second session of his best-of-25 match against John Higgins.

    Zhao beats Williams in historic final - highlights

    The 2026 World Snooker Championship started at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield on Saturday, 18 April - and you can watch every shot of the tournament live on the BBC.

    Defending champion Zhao Xintong, who became the first champion from China after overcoming Mark Williams in last year's final, is one of the eight players still in the tournament.

    This year is the 50th championship to be held at the Crucible since the tournament moved to Sheffield in 1977.

    The final starts on Sunday and finishes on Monday, with the winner taking home £500,000.
