    Trump 12-12 Vafaei

Hossein Vafaei leaves Judd Trump with a tempter on a red from the top of the table. He takes it on, but fails to pot it and the cue ball ends up knocking the blue off its spot on the way back up.

Judd Trump gets going early. Red-black-red-black.

A break of 21 and 25 points on the board, but he has a touching ball on a red at the base of the pack which has left him with an awkward bridge.

There is a glimmer of a pot, but he plays safe.

Final frames are always a panic! This is the biggest frame of Hossein Vafaei's career coming up now. In the last frame he potted a long on which had he missed would have handed the frame to Judd Trump.

It can be down to holding yourself together depending on how the balls open. It may well end up being a slightly more tactical frame, although given how both these players have played they might just go for it.

  4. Vafaei century forces deciderpublished at 22:04 BST 27 April

    Trump 12-12 Vafaei

    Absolutely superb from Hossein Vafaei.

The Iranian peels of a century break of 106 to take this seesaw match to a final-frame decider.

Just when it looked like Judd Trump had all the momentum Vafaei raises his game.

A great break from Judd Trump who has established a bit of authority when it really matters. You still don't know because Hossein Vafaei hasn't lost the plot or anything. If you give Vafaei a chance in among the balls, his cue action will hold up. It could still end up panic stations and we don't know who will panic the most.

  7. Trump one frame awaypublished at 21:52 BST 27 April

    Trump 12-11 Vafaei

A tense frame as this match reaches the business end.

Hossein Vafaei manages to scratch his way to 24 before a safety shot clips the pink and allows Judd Trump a chance to attack the table.

A measured break of 64 leaves Vafaei requiring snookers with just the colours left, but he's unable to contrive it and ends up conceding.

    Trump 11-11 Vafaei

Hossein Vafaei has a lovely cueing action. He hits the ball hard. Sometimes too hard.

All of a sudden Judd Trump knocks in a long red and gets back in stroke to win the frame. This is a fight to the finish now.

I don't know why Hossein Vafaei came back to the table there. I wouldn't have done that. Hopefully it's not mind games because we don't need that at this stage. He might be trying to knock Judd Trump out of his rhythm, but all he is really doing is knocking himself out of rhythm. Just get on with it.

  12. Trump roars back to draw levelpublished at 21:20 BST 27 April

    Trump 11-11 Vafaei

Judd Trump has the bit between his teeth,

The world number one produces his best snooker of the evening with a break of 76.

Hossein Vafaei needs six snookers but decides to play on perhaps - as Stephen Hendry suggests - to delay Trump's return to the table given his fluency in this frame.

Trump eventually pots the final red and then knocks in a couple of colours to get over the line.

I've liked the way Vafaei has played for a long time, a bit old school with his positional game not the best but sensational potting.

    Steve Davis
Six-time world champion on BBC Two

We talk about when the stars align at the Crucible you feel wonderful out there and I imagine Hossein Vafaei is feeling great at the moment. He's enjoying himself and everything is going his way at the moment, but there could well still be some hiccups which stop him getting over the finish line.

  15. Vafaei gets nose in frontpublished at 21:02 BST 27 April

    Trump 10-11 Vafaei

A marvellous break of 77 from Hossein Vafaei clinches his fourth frame of the evening and gives him a one-frame advantage in the match.

All the more impressive from the Iranian was that he did it pretty much with the black out of commission for the whole frame

World number one Judd Trump is under real pressure now.

    A huge frame coming up.

Judd Trump v Hossein Vafaei stats

A superb performance from Hossein Vafaei to win that last session 3-1. Judd Trump needs to get some rhythm going. He's being asked a few questions.

As the favourite when you are 10-7 up you thinking it's going okay. However, it can be a shock to the system when a guy who hasn't always appeared up to the job comes back at you.
