    Ireland 47-0 Scotland

Ireland get into Scottish territory after Aoife Wafer capitalises on a spilled catch.

However, another ruck penalty is won at the breakdown by the visitors who have certainly been tougher to break down so far in this second half.

Scott Bemand makes a grand total of six changes ten minutes after the break!

In come Neve Jones; Sadbh McGrath; Elis Cahill; Dorothy Wall; Ruth Campbell and Vicky Elmes-Kinlan with Ellena Perry; Cliodhna Moloney-MacDonald; Linda Djougang; Sam Monaghan; Fiona Tuite and Robyn O'Connor making way.

    Phew!

Scotland win a penalty as Eve Higgins is caught on the wrong side at the ruck. Can they do something with the ball where they could not in the first half?

  8. Kick-offpublished at 15:31 BST 17 May

    Ireland 47-0 Scotland

Back under way for the start of the second half. Scotland will have been glad to see the changing rooms at the break but can they stem the green wave in the second half?

The rain is now hammering down at the Aviva Stadium in stark contrast to the first half.

    Wow, what a first half.

This is the second highest score ever produced against Scotland by Ireland.

The record, set in 2014, is 59. Can Scott Bemand's side beat that today?

Wow, wow, wow! Already an historic day at the Aviva Stadium and the first half could not have gone better! Seven tries, six conversions and sumptuous rugby played.

Scotland have been caught in a green whirlwind from the first whistle as their hosts have shown no mercy.

Aoife Wafer has been unbelievable this Six Nations and that try is one that I think will be played over and over again in her household.

    Lovely work.

Converted Try Ireland 47-0 Scotlandpublished at 15:14 BST 17 May

    Aoife Wafer (O'Brien con)

Goodness gracious me! A stunning score for Ireland this is just an absolute festival of rugby!

Robyn O'Connor tears through the Scotland line and offloads to Aoife Wafer who swan dives under the posts. An easy conversion for Dannah O'Brien as Ireland are having a party at the Aviva Stadium!

  13. try

Converted Try Ireland 40-0 Scotlandpublished at 15:11 BST 17 May

    Stacey Flood (O'Brien con)

A poor penalty for Scotland to concede as two chasers are quite obviously in front of the kicker and Ireland make them pay.

Stop me if you've heard this before but Dannah O'Brien goes to the corner and the pack set it up. The ball goes through the hands and Stacey Flood shows lovely footwork to dance through the gap and dive over for a lovely score.

O'Brien makes no mistake as the hosts hit the 40 point mark just before the break. Scintillating stuff.

Those in charge of TMO today will not be on the Ireland fans' Christmas card list after Cliodhna Moloney-MacDonald's try was disallowed, but the home side didn't let that decision deter them and scored another try seconds later.

That 'never give up' attitude has been hugely on display from Ireland today.

  16. try

Converted Try Ireland 33-0 Scotlandpublished at 15:06 BST 17 May

    Aoife Wafer (O'Brien con)

Ah well, the fifth try has come about anyway! Cliodhna Moloney-MacDonald didn't get it but she played a huge part as she snaffles up an overthrow at the lineout and sets off on a powerful burst to within a few metres of the line.

A couple of phases later and Aoife Wafer is over and Dannah O'Brien adds the extras. No TMO review this time and Ireland didn't let the previous disallowed try play on their mind.

The TMO says that Cliodhna Moloney-MacDonald is part of the ruck and, therefore, cannot pick the ball up.

A bit of a close call but no try.

  19. try

Converted Try Ireland 33-0 Scotlandpublished at 15:02 BST 17 May

    Cliodhna Moloney-MacDonald (O'Brien con)

Brave Scottish defence keep Ireland at bay for a few phases but there is only so much pressure they can soak up before Cliodhna Moloney-MacDonald dives over.

Dannah O'Brien adds the extras again.

  20. Postpublished at 15:00 BST 17 May

A scrum penalty goes the way of the hosts and Dannah O'Brien's kick is brilliant deep into Scotland territory.
