Hello from the Wales international base in the Vale of Glamorgan, where this afternoon Steve Tandy names his first Six Nations squad.

The former Ospreys flanker has taken part in the championship before as Scotland defence coach but this time he is calling the shots.

Tandy took the reins as Wales boss last summer and was in charge for an autumn campaign that featured heavy defeats to Argentina, New Zealand and South Africa plus a dramatic last-kick win against Japan.

The Six Nations starts with tough fixtures against England and France but more of the details about the tournament shortly.

Tandy should be naming his squad around 12:30 GMT and will meet the media around an hour later.

And all this amid more chaos in Welsh rugby…
