It will be hard.

We are expecting now to be back on the field in Brisbane at 05:46 BST after a delay of more than 30 minutes.

It's a good chance for the coaches to get some early messages in and give the players a chance to regroup.

While we are still waiting for the teams to return, we can focus on one young Welsh player who will hopefully make her debut later.

Scrum-half Seren Lockwood is one of three replacement players set to win her first Wales cap. Her parents have made the long trip down under from Cardiff.

"I had to see her win her first cap", said mum Julie Lockwood.

"It's an immensely proud moment for us, it's been a long time coming, she's been training for this moment since she was six. I'm so pleased for her.

"She's quiet, but she's a different person on the pitch and is very confident for her age. She's a great kid."

Australia have already played a warm-up game against New Zealand already, so they're ahead of us in their preparations.

Sean Lynn said Wales will be in their flow by the first World Cup game against Scotland.

You can see this isn't the strongest Wales side, I think Lynn's testing out different combinations to see if they work.

The Welsh Rugby Union's head of women's rugby Belinda Moore is here in the stand.

Moore flew in yesterday and will be present at both Tests.

"It's great to be here, the Wallaroos will provide us with some strong opposition.

"The team have worked really hard over the last two months and I'm hoping for a good result."

Moore hinted at last week's kit launch that she may stay on after the Rugby World Cup after initially taking the role on an interim basis.

I'm hoping there's going to be a second wind from the Wales players when they come back out.

I know Sean Lynn puts a big focus on fitness.

We have just heard news from Brisbane that there will be at least a 25-minute delay for the storm from the time the players went off the field.

It is on health and safety grounds. We await to see whether it is longer than that.

While we wait for the weather to clear, here is some news on a familiar face who is back for Wales today.

Prop Sisilia Tuipulotu says she is a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and is now raring to go on her return to fitness.

The 21-year-old missed the end of Gloucester-Hartpury's title-winning season with a hamstring injury and was also sidelined for the Six Nations.

"It was the first big injury I've ever had, it was a big struggle," said Tuipulotu.

"But the girls really helped, they were all there and in return I was there supporting them.

"I'm a massive believer that anything can happen at any time, I guess my body just wanted me to rest and get back raring to go for the World Cup."

Well this is not usual.

All we can do now is wait for the weather to pass. Who knows how long that will be?

It's been threatening, but a mighty roar of thunder and lightning has opened the heavens here in Ballymore.

Everyone is running for cover and the players are being taken off the pitch for safety.

Great cut-off pass, got the gap where the forward pack ends and the backs begin, that's the sweet spot for strong runners.

Australia were not to be denied for too long and lock Annabelle Codey dives over with wing Miller converting.

That's an early let off for Wales isn't it?

It was good to see them looking brave, and looking to play right from the start, but they need to be solid in their contact areas.

Wales bounce back with some incisive runs from Georgia Evans and captain Alex Callender but are penalised in the Australia 22.

Positive signs from the tourists though.
