    Argentina 24-40 Scotland

And the man advantage is wiped out as Moro goes to the bin as a little extra punishment for Argentina.

A 16-point lead, with 10 minutes left. That could be enough...

    Gregor Hiddleston

    A try for the debutant!

From the Super Six to the Scotland squad, Hiddleston is a player that fans have long been calling for. Now he's arrived, and he's scored a try.

Traditionally for a hooker, it was at the back of a big rolling maul.

That is exactly the kind of response Scotland needed.

Just as it looked like Scotland might kill the game off as a contest, Argentina roar back into life with a try they desperately needed.

You can sense the relief inside the stadium, as the fans must have felt this match was getting away from them.

  4. Sin-bin Jamie Dobie (Scotland)published at 66'

    Argentina 24-33 Scotland

And to make matters worse for Scotland, Dobie is sent to the bin for repeated offsides.

This next 10 minutes is huge. Will Gregor Townsend's men capitulate against Argentina again?

    Tomas Rapetti

It looks like Matias Moroni is certain to score but somehow Jamie Dobie, who must be a few inches smaller and several kilograms lighter, holds him off the line.

But they can't be kept out forever, as loosehead Rapetti crosses at the next phase.

    Argentina 17-33 Scotland

Rory Sutherland, George Horne, Alex Samuel, Darcy Graham, and debutant Gregor Hiddleston are all on for Scotland, who are now on the back foot.

Argentina have the ball and the advantage. The next score is vital.

    Argentina 17-33 Scotland

Scotland are threatening to run away with this as Argentina concede another penalty which lets the Scots down the pitch.

The momentum is halted slightly by a raft of replacements, and Argentina end up ripping the ball away before launching it down the pitch.

    Scott Cummings

    Who invited the Harlem Globetrotters?!

Now it's Cummings who celebrates his half ton with a try. Goodness me.

Jamie Dobie starts it with a beautiful offload to Kyle Rowe, who bursts away down the left. His pass inside finds Ben White, who tips on to the galloping Cummings and the big second row crosses the white line.

    Scintillating.

We talked in the previous Argentina game back in November that our set pieces, particularly our line-outs, were a bit of a frailty.

Today it's been one of our strengths. It's becoming a serious weapon against Argentina.

    Gregor Brown

How's that for an introduction? Brown is over and Scotland have their bonus point.

They try a little trick play from the line-out, with Ewan Ashman peeling off early down the blindside and popping to Ben White.

He's held just short but there's no stopping the big ginger giraffe from there.

Tom Jordan nails the kick, too.

    Argentina 17-19 Scotland

Kyle Steyn takes a superb high ball to get Scotland right up the pitch, and they now have the advantage as Jamie Dobie is taken out illegally.

They could take the points from here, to move five points clear. But there's no danger of that with this Scotland team, they're going to the corner.

And now Scotland make their first change. Here comes Gregor Brown for the veteran Jonny Gray.

That comes after an Argentina knock-on that was loudly cheered by a few Scotland players. Not much love lost here.

What a try from Argentina! By his own high standards, Rodrigo Isgró had a quiet first half but that is a world class finish after a clever kick in behind.

And here come the reinforcements upfront for Argentina.

Wenger had an injury-disrupted first season with Harlequins and Rapetti didn’t get many minutes in his first year with Toulouse, but they have earned Contepomi’s trust.

A raft of changes for Argentina.

Rodrigo Isgro, the try scorer, is off, as well as both props. Boris Wenger and Tomas Rapetti are on, as our colleague Joe predicted...

It's obvious Isgro pushed Rowe away from the ball and then gathered it and scored.

For the TMO not to say that's an issue, it's pathetic.

    Rodrigo Isgro

Argentina reduce the deficit almost immediately!

I don't know if Scotland have touched the ball in this half yet, other than kick off. Argentina hustle and bustle to get down the pitch, and then Tomas Albornoz's kick through sits nicely for Isgro.

The winger still has to stretch to gather, before he bounces his way over the line. The conversion is good, and it's a two-point game.

    Argentina 10-19 Scotland

At nine points ahead, there are no Scotland fans thinking this is done. Not after the autumn.

Tom Jordan gets the second half under way. And immediately, Scotland concede a penalty.

    Hmmm.

After a promising start, Argentine head coach Felipe Contepomi will be disappointed with the way his side failed to take control of the game.

He does have the luxury of a strong bench, with a blend of youth and experience.

Expect to see the likes of Joaquín Moro and Franco Molina early in the second half if things don’t change quickly.

Since Argentina's opening try Scotland have really dominated the game - but as we all know it's 80 minutes of rugby.

They've just got to come out, keep playing the same way and get on the front foot.

The forwards are doing what they have to do, all really positive from 40 minutes.
