Scott Bemand is about to empty his bench, so stick with me while I work through it.

There's a welcome return from Sam Monaghan, while Neve Jones is also going to be introduced.

I'll bring you the full changes when they all get on.

In the meantime, Italy are pushing as they work it through the hands.

To get into the Ireland '22' and come away with points will please Italy a lot. They really pummelled Ireland up front.

    Veronica Madia

It's a reward for Italy's pressure as Veronica Madia, who was introduced at the break, shows good speed to race over the line.

Gaia Buso can't make the conversion, and she's zero from three this afternoon.

It's better from Italy as the creep closer to the line.

Ireland have been clinical at the other end, so you feel they have to make these chances count if they are to get back into this one.

    They have a penalty advantage.

Italy finally get a bit of time with the ball, but they are stuck on halfway and Ireland are keeping them there.

They finally put boot to ball and make good territory with a 50/22.

There's a brief stoppage as Emily Lane is patched up for some blood, but she looks set to continue.

Ireland reach the half century as Cliodhna Moloney-Macdonald crosses for the hosts!

The forwards showed good patience as they chipped away at the line, and the Ireland hooker, who celebrated her 50th try last week, finishes it off.

O'Brien can't make the conversion from out wide.

    Meanwhile in Cardiff...

France produced a second-half power show to shrug off a resilient Wales by 38-7.

Wales led through a penalty try as they aimed to end a run of nine defeats in a row at the hands of France.

But the visitors simply had too much muscle, class and know-how to be denied a comfortable 38-7 win at the Arms Park.

France even survived a spell down to 13 players as Madoussou Fall Raclot hit back before seizing control through Manae Feleu, Lea Marie and player of the match Pauline Bourdon Sansus.

Anais Grando added to her try last week with two late scores but it was not enough to prevent France slipping to second in the Six Nations table, behind England on points difference after the Red Roses crushed Scotland.

Dominant England spoiled Scotland's record-breaking afternoon at Murrayfield with a 12-try 84-7 win which keeps them on course for another Six Nations title.

A total of 30,498 fans were in the stands at Murrayfield - a record for a standalone women's sporting event in Scotland - and they were ultimately treated to a 35th consecutive Test win for the Red Roses after a powerful display.

Ellie Kildunne, starting on the wing for the first time in the Six Nations, was as lively as ever and scored twice in the first half, while captain Meg Jones, Kelsey Clifford and Emma Sing added further first-half scores.

But the Murrayfield crowd did have a moment to savour in the first half when Helson Nelson's chip over the top and Chloe Rollie's pass was finished well by Rhona Lloyd, who surged over for a try which was cheered to the rafters.

However, it was only a fleeting moment as England added seven second-half scores as Amy Cokayne, Sarah Bern, former captain Marlie Packer, Sadia Kabeya, Mia Venner, and Haineala Lutui all bolstered the scoreboard further as England laid down another marker in their pursuit of an eighth straight Six Nations title.

As a journalist I like stats. It's part of my job.

But sometimes they don't always tell the story.

Ireland have edged possession, by 52% to 48%, and only made seven more carries than Italy with 57.

Ireland have made more tackles, with 75 to 66, and only made 13 more metres in the opening 40 minutes.

They've both conceded five penalties, but yet Ireland lead by 35 points.

    It's a funny old game.

That was great work by Ireland to keep the ball alive, great moving of the ball. Ireland have been sensational and what a homecoming for Beibhinn Parsons.

Just the nine tries in a full-throttle opening half.

HAT-TRICK FOR BEIBHINN PARSONS! IT'S STUNNING RUGBY!

From their own half, Ireland move it through the hands with O'Connor and Parsons key.

Aoife Wafer does what she does best and makes more ground, and she pops it back inside for Parsons to race the length of the 22 for her third try of the day.

That really is superb, and O'Brien converts for good measure.

They get a penalty advantage for a deliberate knock on, so there could be time for one last bit of attacking fun.
