I love the way England have come out fast and furious. I am not sure how long that will last but it is good to see.

They are challenging Ireland and showing them they are not getting a kicking game.

That's one way to relieve pressure as Ireland win the penalty from the scrum after Ellis Genge bucked in the scrum.

England win an early penalty and send it into the corner. They win their throw, but there's deemed to be a forward pass by Alex Mitchell and Ireland have the scrum in their own 22.

Andrew: Tom Curry is having an absolute stormer of an evening in Dublin.

England trailed in all of their Six Nations matches last year. They've already bucked that trend this year.

Ben Curry said before kick-off that there he was determined not be overawed by the Aviva stage, promising to "rip in" like he has in a Sale shirt this season.

He has showed up well in the stats in that first half as well, leading England's tackle count with a superb 15, not missing a single one.

Elsewhere Ben Earl has done well on the other side of the ball. Only Freddie Steward, Tommy Freeman and Marcus Smith have more than his 28.5m with ball in hand among the visitors.

Looking at the Ireland bench, there is a ton of experience to bring on if needed.

Dan Sheehan, Cian Healy, Iain Henderon, Jack Conan, Conor Murray, Jack Crowley and Robbie Henshaw have all been there and done it.

The only unfamiliar name is prop Thomas Clarkson, who only made his debut in November.

Remember, Ireland are aiming to be the first team to win three men's Six Nations titles in a row.

England are looking for their first title since 2020.

It's early days, but how pivotal will these next 40 minutes be in the context of the championship?

England tripled down on breakdown threats in their back row and it worked a treat early on in disrupting Ireland during that first half.

Simon Easterby's side looked a tad more comfortable as the game wore on, although a chunk of that came with Marcus Smith in the bin.

The question in the second half is can England keep it up? And how much will that six/two split on the bench come into play?

Ireland have some heavy hitters held in reserve too.
