It's not often I say this about this Ireland team, but it's just not good enough in defence.

It's a very, very difficult scrum to defend, but the one thing you cannot let happen is let the number eight pick the ball up and run and score a try.

It's too soft at this level.

Ireland are yet to fire a proper shot in attack. Another silly penalty gifts New Zealand an easy clearance.

Too easy. Ardie Savea scores straight off the back of a scrum.

With a quarter of the game gone, the All Blacks lead from a try that all stemmed from an Ireland drop deep in opposition territory.

The visitors won't have needed a reminder of the cost of such errors in a place like Eden Park, but they've been given one in a game it feels New Zealand will soon make their dominance show more fully on the scoreboard.

New contact lenses in for Tadhg Furlong. Not a bad way to slow down the momentum.

Only twenty minutes in and only seven points down but it feels really, really ominous for Ireland at the minute.

Replacement Ciaran Frawley is now down. Bundee Aki is coming on. Disaster as Jimmy O'Brien already went off.

That could be for blood but Frawley did not look too good.

New Zealand's shape on attack looks really impressive. Here they come again.

Earlier, Tyrel Lomax returned to the field.

That was a really impressive Irish attack. It looked like they were going places.

Great response by Ireland to get into New Zealand's 22. However, another error gifts the ball back to the All Blacks.

It was coming as well, they just pulled Ireland from width to width.

New Zealand just look like they have a bit more about them at this stage and it was a lovely finish by Patrick Tuipulotu.

Really, really patient stuff from New Zealand. Ireland had absolutely no chance of stopping him from five metres out.

Ciaran Frawley is on as Jimmy O’Brien goes off for a head injury assessment. That'll cause a backline reshuffle.

Here come Ireland on the attack. Strong carry by Joe McCarthy into New Zealand's 22.

The ball goes down and Ireland give away a penalty for being offside. A poor drop by James Ryan.

Ireland can't get their attack going, so Sam Prendergast fires it into the sky. New Zealand win it back.

    That's not a great sign.
