It looked inevitable that Bath would score the opener there but Saracens lock Hugh Tizard gets his body underneath the ball to hold it up over the line.
Good defensive set from the visitors who are already under considerable pressure.
Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall, speaking to Premier Sports: "We were very honest after our last visit here. We saw a big
improvement against Saints last week and hopefully we will step up again today.
"A lot of our best performances have been with this midfield,
it felt like the right backline for this week."
Bath head coach Johann van Graan speaking to Premier Sports: "We start every week on zero, this 80 minutes has nothing to
do with the last few weeks or the next few weeks. There is a tricky wind, we
always respect our opponents who are a very good side and we are focused on
what is coming up.
"This playing group is fantastic, never too high, never too
low. It’s a European knockout, only one winner will progress. We have an
incredible squad, and we have picked a 23 that represents the wider squad well
and I wish I could pick more."
Sarries will have surely have revenge on their minds back in the West Country this afternoon but do they have enough to turn things around and beat the hosts?
It's more than a decade now since Toulon were crowned champions of Europe for three successive seasons.
The French side finished second in Pool Two behind Bath to reach the last 16 this time around.
England internationals Kyle Sinckler and Dave Ribbans are among their starters today, while 43-year-old former New Zealand centre Ma'a Nonu is among the replacements.
South African side Stormers, who are second in the URC, were third behind Leinster and Harlequins in Pool Three.
Springboks wing Damian Willemse and scrum-half Cobus Reinach are in the starting XV, while highly-rated fly-half Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu will hope to make an impact from the bench later on.

The four quarter-finals will take place next weekend.
The highest-ranked team from the pool stage will get home advantage in each quarter-final tie. For example, if Bath beat Saracens today, they will host Northampton in the last eight, while a Saracens win would mean they go to Northampton in the next round.
Seedings are in brackets and here are the fixtures:
Bordeaux (1)/Leicester (16) v Toulouse (8)/Bristol (9)
Bath (4)/Saracens (13) v Northampton (5)
Glasgow (2)/Bulls (15) v Toulon (7)/Stormers (10)
Leinster (3)/Edinburgh (14) v Harlequins (6)/Sale (11)

Bath v Saracens (15:00 BST)
Chris Jones BBC rugby union correspondent at The Rec
The Champions Cup is a slow-burner which struggles to fire in the early rounds in December and January.
But this is what it's all about; knockout rugby on a perfect day at The Rec, a packed house and two former champions with points to prove.
Having crossed the Prem rubicon last season, Bath are hungry for Champions Cup glory. Their team is absolutely stacked, Finn Russell is in great form and they put 60 points on Saracens when the teams met a few weeks back.
They are heavy, heavy favourites and many of their fans will already have next Friday against Northampton pencilled in the diary.
But, but, but. Can you write off a side which includes Carre, George, Itoje, McFarland, Onyeama-Christie, Farrell and Daly among others? There is no doubt Sarries are far from the all-conquering team of old, but having already beaten Toulouse this campaign, they may well have a few more big performances in them this season.
With Mark McCall leaving in the summer, and with the top four in the league a long shot, it's now or never for Sarries.
Chris will be commentating on Bath v Saracens for BBC Radio 5 Live and you can listen to coverage on this page from 15:00 BST.

Saracens make only three changes from their narrow defeat against Northampton and will be captained by England skipper Maro Itoje.
Jamie George comes into the side at hooker, the exciting young talent Noah Caluori starts on the wing and Fergus Burke takes the number 10 shirt, with Owen Farrell moving to midfield alongside Nick Tompkins.
Elliot Daly, fresh from signing a new contract, is at full-back and there is an unchanged back row of Theo McFarland, Andy Onyeama-Christie and Tom Willis.
