Cardiff get to the line but Scarlets hold firm AGAIN.

The 14 men then win a penalty to clear their lines, much to the delight of the west Walian supporters on the touchline.

Not much variety from Cardiff in the 'red zone' there.

This defending will be taking a lot out of Scarlets though. They will look forward to the half-time break.

Number eight Alun Lawrence is inches short with a charge off the line-out.

Cardiff keep trying to get over with carries before eventually spreading wide right.

Blair Murray knocks on but Mr Breakspear deems it is while wrapping in the tackle.

Josh Macleod is back on for the defensive scrum. Scarlets back to 14.

    Penalties are killing Scarlets.

They are down to 13 and concede another penalty just outside the 22 after failing to release scrum-half Aled Davies shortly after an attempted choke tackle.

Cardiff, understandably, will go to the corner.

Cardiff had the numerical advantage and that's tough to defend.

It's very difficult to stop Mason Grady from that distance, even with a great effort from Eddie James.

Callum Sheedy puts the ball into the corner.

Cardiff's drive is defended but they peel off and carry hard against more spirited defence.

However, Cardiff make the numbers count and Mason Grady is put over down the left, using his bulk to get over in the corner despite Eddie James' effort.

That was close! Ultimately it was a great finish and it is followed by a brilliant conversion from the touchline by Sheedy to level it up.

A powerful burst by Mason Grady down the left into the 22 puts Cardiff on the attack again.

They spread to the right where Scarlets scrum-half Gareth Davies deliberately knocks the ball on.

The officials check the footage and Scarlets are down to 13 men.

Scarlets are playing with such a fast line-speed, but they've got to make sure they're matching that intensity with discipline.

Scarlets were warned earlier and now they have paid the price.

Scarlets win a very kickable penalty in a central position 35 metres out but opt to go for the 22.

Surely build a score? What do I know?!

They hammer away to get within a yard and then spread the ball left for centre Eddie James to go over.

Joe Hawkins adds the simple conversion.

It's against the run of play but Scarlets are in front.

ANOTHER blown opportunity for Cardiff. Scarlets get into the maul, hold it up and have a scrum to escape from their line.

The home side have dominated the opening exchanges but are yet to make all their possession and territory count.

    Cardiff 0-0 Scarlets

Cardiff win a scrum penalty and they go for the corner - they aren't entertaining going for three points.

That puts the pressure on to convert.

Their driving line-out is repelled but the hard carries come. James Botham barges over but the whistle had already gone for offside and Scarlets captain Josh Macleod is given a team warning.

More frustration for Cardiff as they are held up over the line. Good defence by Scarlets and it's still scoreless at the Arms Park.
