England were flying forwards and that Irish defence was energy-sapping on their own line. Ireland look tired now, and that is concerning.

George Ford's pass to Ellis Genge is fumbled. James Lowe then attempts a clearing kick but slices it and goes down clutching his knee.

    Lowe is receiving treatment.

When you are on the 22 and kicking it dead off the boot, that is a blow and a lucky escape for Ireland.

But, England have been just as sloppy.

The hosts have the ball back in midfield.

Ellis Genge and Tadhg Furlong exchanging words after that scrum.

Once again, it hasn't been pretty from an Irish perspective.

Ireland's scrum collapses! England win a penalty and kick for the corner.

Wait, hang on. George Ford gets his kick all wrong and smashes it off the back of the pitch. Ireland ball.

We are seeing Ireland be true to themselves in playing multi-phases but I think we are better off playing two zones on the pitch.

    England 0-3 Ireland

Here we go, England get another chance as Tommy Freeman stretches and jumps into the air to intercept Stuart McCoskey's pass.

But a knock-on then gives Ireland a scrum.

There were some decent carries from Pollock, Genge, Heyes, Earl, Curry everyone is making a touch. They just need to manipulate Ireland for a few more phases [to get the score].

"Open your legs son" is shouted behind me the first time Henry Arundell got the ball.

The crowd were equally as passionate when Henry Pollock made his first carry.

Pollock twice wriggled an extra few metres.

Yep, Ireland have passed their first defensive test.

That's a sense of relief for Ireland, England were really threatening. What a read from Rob Baloucoune on the wing. It just releases the pressure.

Backs against the wall defence from Ireland. No need to panic, boys. They manage to force an England error as a pass is intercepted and then cleared with a low, skidding kick downfield.

But this is better from England now who are marching forward. Henry Pollock punches forward.

We're up to phase 12 now.

I have been very impressed with Ireland's performance so far, they look so well drilled. They are a real threat for England this afternoon.

    England 0-3 Ireland

Henry Arundell catches a big spiralling ball and dances through Ireland's first line of defence before he's stopped in midfield.

George Ford then tries to kick a penalty into the corner, but his boot doesn't have the distance and Ireland are able to keep it in play. A miss.

Ireland are looking in shape and they are looking slick, the lines are running, the handling is crisp and to the point, they are stressing the white wall of defence.

That's scoreboard pressure in the right area of the field. It looks like the Ireland of old. Andy Farrell has them at the right level of emotion.

Ireland have been guilty of not capitalising on their visits to opposition territory in this championship. Jack Crowley is happy enough to take the penalty in front of the posts there, but England will be relieved that wasn't a five or seven-point return for the Irish.

Jamison Gibson-Park has been outstanding, by the way.
