It's taken us 43 minutes to see Wakefield Trinity put together a well-structured, practical set and on the back of it they've scored their first try of the night.

They need to do more of it.

Josh Rourke, who is serving at full-back for Wakefield after Max Jowitt failed a HIA against Salford last week, is down and receiving treatment.

Replays show that his face met with Owen Trout's head in the process of him being tackled.

I don't think Trout meant anything by that but Wakefild are awarded a penalty simply because there was still contact with the head.

Hull KR half-back Mikey Lewis has signed a new five-year contract.

The 24-year-old won last year's Steve Prescott Man of Steel award and is one of three nominees for this year's prize.

The England international has scored 526 points in 129 appearances for the Robins and helped them win the Challenge Cup for the first time since 1980 in June.

"I feel like the east side of Hull have really brought me in as one of their own. The city and the club mean everything to me," he said.

"I want to create my own legacy here at Hull KR and win trophies with the team I've got around me.

"I don't see why we can't do that and create our own legacy as a team."

An absolutely brilliant performance from Leigh Leopards - they've put a whole lot of pressure on Wakefield

To win the play-offs, it's a mindset, you've got to be disciplined, you've got to take your game to another level.

That's been a nearly perfect 40 minutes by the Leopards.

Well that is absolutely as dominant a half as Leigh Leopards could have hoped for.

Wakefield are 18-0 down and look short of answers.

The visitors defended valiantly for 25 minutes despite the scoreline, but it's all gone a bit sideways since then.

Half-time couldn't have come at a better time for Daryl Powell's side.

Lachlan Lam concedes a penalty for that incident with Seth Nikotemo.

To be honest, seeing the replay, I think he's quite lucky it's just a penalty. As he spins Nikotemo round, he then gives him a forearm/elbow to the face which just feels wholly unnecessary.

He's already down, you've already made your point and you're 18-0 up, Lachlan.

This has just been a well executed half from the Leigh Leopards, to be honest.

Lachlan Lam goes in hard on Seth Nikotemo and there's some afters from Nikotemo's Wakefield team-mate Jayden Myers.

Nikotemo receives treatment and clutches his shoulder.

In a way, this probably benefits Wakefield a bit as they could clearly do with a break.

If Wakefield find a way to get some points on the board, the whole scope of this game becomes completely different.

The fans in this stadium have become the 14th player on the field for Leigh, they are super-charging their players.

Jayden Myers gallops his way through a sea of Leigh players as he tries to force some magic to get Wakefield back into this game.

But he spills the ball in the process of being tackled and the attack is neutralised.

Almost half-time. No doubt you'd imagine Wakefield will be praying for the hooter.

Edwin Ipape puts in a speculative grubber kick into goal on the last as Leigh go for another try.

But Josh Rourke judges it perfectly as Ipape's kick goes dead.

Some of the tempo's been taken out of this game in the past few minutes.
