FT: England 6-26 Australia
Emma Smith BBC Sport at Wembley
By the end, the paper aeroplanes were flying in from the upper tiers at Wembley to cheers from the crowd. They made their own fun, having seen their team was outclassed.
It looks very ominous for England ahead of the next two Tests. How can they respond to this?
Don't throw anything away. England need to take the lessons away from today. They also need to understand that you don't get many opportunities at the highest level and you have to execute.
Jack Welsby gets caught by a long kick down the left channel and when he flicks the ball inside Dom Young gets flattened by three chasing Australians behind his own line.
The lesson is stay at that end of the field for as long as you can. Be patient and get yourself the opportunity to create some pressure on the Australian line.
Herbie Farnworth sees a chink of light down the right and escapes into it but can't find his pass inside and Angus Crichton regains the ball for the visitors.
