TRY: Hull KR 10-0 Yorkpublished at 8 mins

    Sauaso Sue, goal Rhyse Martin

Hull KR stretch their lead no sooner did they get it going in the first place.

Sauaso Sue batters his way over the line right under the sticks and this is looking stark for York.

Rhyse Martin, stood right in front of the posts, makes no mistake with the boot.

They just can't get forward. Paul McShane is forced to kick from his own half, under pressure and ends up putting it out of play.

    Hull KR 4-0 York

York are finding it rather difficult to get out of their own half at the minute.

Miles Harrison receives the ball on their first tackle and is hauled down by Sauaso Sue with some gusto.

  4. Postpublished at 5 mins

    Hull KR 4-0 York

The wind is in York's favour.

Which is shown quite cannily by Denive Balmforth's kick on the turnover sailing a good 10 metres or more than you'd expect such a kick to travel.

  5. try

TRY: Hull KR 4-0 Yorkpublished at 1 min

    Tyrone May

    Well that didn't take long..

Great work from Hull KR from their first set. Mikey Lewis does the damage in the build up as the hosts carve York open.

A quickfire set of passes tees up Tyrone May to race through with relative ease.

Rhyse Martin, on his return from a broken foot, can't make the kick however. It is windy, mind.

  6. Kick-offpublished at 1 min

    Hull KR 0-0 York

Hull KR get us going, shortly after the home fans chorus Craven Park with a rendition of A Little Respect.

A big game, this. Can an injury-hit York pull off another upset? Or are KR going to continue their defence of this trophy?

  7. When's the draw for the semi-final?published at 13:29 BST 11 April

    I'm glad you asked.

The draw for the final four takes place during half-time of tomorrow's quarter-final between Wakefield and Wigan.

That tie is being broadcast live on BBC One, as it happens, and I'll be taking you through matters in our live coverage too.

Leeds legend Jamie Peacock will conduct the draw alongside footballing legend Chris Kamara.

    Unbelievable.

The hosts name a formidable line-up for today's fixture with captain Elliot Minchella the only absence because of a hamstring injury.

Rhyse Martin (above) returns from a broken foot and starts for the Robins, however.

St Helens hero Bill Leyland, who scored twice in the final stages of their derby against Wigan last weekend during an emergency loan spell, does not return for the hosts.

Hull KR: Broadbent; Davies, Hiku, Gildart, Burgess; Lewis, May; Sue, Litten, Amone, Martin, Batchelor, Hadley.

    Interchanges: Luckley, Whitbread, Brown, Lawton.

Injury-hit York scramble together a side to take on a side they beat in the opening game of the season.

York: Williams; Harrison, Law, Buchanan, Galeano; Hingano, McShane; Va'a, Balmforth, Vaughan, Field, Dee, Griffin.

    Interchanges: Martin, Sangare, Cook, Smith.

  9. 'We must keep level head in Super League'published at 13:25 BST 11 April

Hull KR v York (13:30 BST)

York Knights head coach Mark Applegarth told BBC Sport:

"We've got a real tight group and everyone wants each other to do well.

"It's a journey. We set out last year to be the best part time club and we've moved up into Super League and it's no different. We need to go through that process again.

"There's going to be some stinging losses like last week but we've got to keep a level head and make sure we're improving every week.

"As long as we do that I'll be a happy coach."

  10. 'My exit is behind us'published at 13:24 BST 11 April

Hull KR v York (13:30 BST)

Hull KR boss Willie Peters told BBC Sport:

[On his exit to PNG at the end of the season] "It'll be sad. We've had three and almost four amazing years. It's a long time away and the most important time is now and the game against York.

"When things come up like that, the most important people are the players. It was important that I passed that on to the players which I did, and it all happened pretty quick so we could move forward.

"We've prepped well every week, that's behind us and the most important thing is that we get it right.

"We're going to have to play well. We got beaten in the first round against York and we're aware of that."

  13. Rugby League teams up with Deloitte to grow gamepublished at 13:15 BST 11 April

Hull KR v York (13:30 BST)

Rugby League's commercial arm has appointed a sports accountancy firm as advisors to help continue growing the sport.

RL Commercial has brought in Deloitte's Sports Business Group to build on the progress made after a record-breaking year for Super League.

Last year, 1.62 million fans attended games and broadcast viewership rose by 52%.

Super League expanded to 14 teams for the 2026 season, with the promotion of Toulouse adding a second French team to the competition.

Deloitte advised the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on securing investment into the eight teams playing in The Hundred, as well as SailGP on its two-team expansion for the 2026 global racing championship.

Rhodri Jones, RL Commercial's managing director, said: "Rugby League is strongly positioned for growth and investment and by appointing trusted experts at Deloitte, we believe this is the right moment to secure the most advantageous outcome for the sport.

"Bringing Deloitte on board at this stage to provide guidance and explore opportunities in greater detail, represents a prudent and professional next step."

York Knights celebrate against Hull KR earlier this seasonImage source, SWPix

York Knights head coach Mark Applegarth said there isn't "an ounce of pressure" on his side in today's Challenge Cup quarter-final at holders Hull KR.

Willie Peters' men have had a mixed start in Super League, including falling to a shock defeat at York on the opening night of the season, and Applegarth says the Robins are having to contend with the weight of their successes.

"You look at what they've had to deal with, with the travel to Las Vegas and peaking for a World Club Challenge and all the stuff that comes with that. They've had a lot to deal with," he said.

"They've also had to deal with the expectation shift on them, winning all the trophies does that.

"I don't think there's an ounce of pressure on us on Saturday, it's all on them. So we can go in just focusing on ourselves while they've got all that on them."

Friday recap: St Helens 36-4 Catalans

Tristan Sailor kicks a goal for St HelensImage source, PA Media

Tristan Sailor scored 14 points as St Helens dominated Catalans Dragons in a one-sided Challenge Cup quarter-final on Friday.

The Australian full-back, who also racked up 14 points in the stunning Good Friday comeback win over derby rivals Wigan Warriors last week, went over for a first-half try and kicked five goals as the ragged French side failed to test Paul Rowley's resurgent Saints.

But St Helens suffered more injury woe as Jake Wingfield and Lewis Murphy, who scored the first try after Sailor had notched an early penalty, were forced off in the opening 32 minutes, but that could not interrupt the flow.

Sailor went over and 19-year-old Jake Davies scored his first senior try before second-half scores from Owen Dagnall and George Whitby emphasised the gulf between the sides.

You can catch up on matters here.
