Steve Davis
Six-time world champion on BBC Two
Ding has let him off the hook and Maguire is a big fish and in form. He will be delighted how he has got back into this. It's not been in one visit but it's been enough.
Frame 7: Ding 4-3 Maguire
Hello. Stephen Maguire has a spring back in his step.
He's not firing on all cylinders but he's one frame away from being back on terms.
Frame 7: Ding 4-2 Maguire
Stephen Maguire is clawing his way back into this...
He's at the table and is looking good to nick another frame.
Frame 7: Ding 4-2 Maguire
'Fore'. Yes I know that's Golf, but Ding Jinhui has absolutely smashed an effort towards the bottom left corner and sent a red flying off the table.
Frame 7: Ding 4-2 Maguire
Red, blue, red, blue, Stephen Maguire ticks along nicely until a rest shot leaves him right on the bottom cushion with no shot at a colour.
This is going to have to be a containing shot.
Frame 7: Ding 4-2 Maguire
Stephen Hendry
Seven-time world champion on BBC Two
Stephen Maguire will be disappointed with his long potting.
He will have wanted to carry on the momentum from the last frame and he just keeps letting Ding back into this.
Frame 7: Ding 4-2 Maguire
Some very sketchy long potting at the minute from both players. Are nerves kicking in?

You may have noticed Stephen Maguire wearing trainers, that's because he fractured a foot in China in October.
He missed a step while coming out of the shower and suffered the injury which has caused him some issues this week.
He said after his quarter-final win over Matthew Stevens that he was "in the zone and walking around the table a bit too quickly".
Let's see if he starts hobbling again later in this match.
Frame 7: Ding 4-2 Maguire
Who needs an easy starter? Not Ding Junhui, who opens up with a superb shot into the bottom right corner before missing a relative sitter with the rest on 12.
This frame is still very much in the balance.
Frame 7: Ding 4-2 Maguire
A huge frame coming up. If Stephen Maguire takes this it's very much game-on this evening.
He starts off by going for a long red, but a huge clank tells you he's got that wrong. How's his luck? Not bad, the red goes safe, he'd have left that on before the interval.
Frame 6: Ding 4-2 Maguire
Ken Doherty
1997 world champion on BBC Two
It's good to see Stephen has got the bit between his teeth. An interval can change matches because you get the chance to regroup.
We always knew he had determination and fight and we're starting to see it now.
Frame 6: Ding 4-2 Maguire
Steve Davis
Six-time world champion on BBC Two
The blue he made during his break of 67 was a tough shot under immense pressure but he [Stephen Maguire] made it and his arm is starting to free up.
All the hours on the practice table can help you out in circumstances like that so you are almost on auto-pilot and not searching for form.
Frame 6: Ding 4-2 Maguire
Superb from Stephen Maguire who rolls in the pink dead weight.
He looks a tad more relaxed all of a sudden.
Frame 6: Ding 4-1 Maguire
That's 67 for Stephen Maguire. Ding Junhui needs two snookers with just the pink and black left.
Surely 4-2?
Frame 6: Ding 4-1 Maguire
Stephen Maguire is really having to grind it out here. He's fighting for position every shot and putting everything he's got concentration wise into this break.
He looks a bit like he's doing an A Level in Maths. What a clearance this could be...

Ding Junhui was just a little low on that last red and it's not to be. Can Stephen Maguire find a counter-clearance?

Crikey. Ding Junhui gets to 49 then misses an easyish red. He's gone totally off script.
Frame 6: Ding 4-1 Maguire
Johnny on the spot - I mean Ding Junhui is quickly out of his chair and plays a lovely red into the bottom right corner. What a response.
He just needs one frame to lead going into this evening.. could this be it?
Frame 6: Ding 4-1 Maguire
Stephen Maguire gets the first chance in the sixth frame but he looks absolutely disgusted with himself.
He cuts across that white and sees a red to the bottom left miss well right. The sort of shot you see in snooker halls all across the country - not usually in the UK Championship final.
