Greece were the first team in, more than an hour ago. What have they been doing all this time?

There's another topless flagbearer, this time from Vanuatu. Rower Rillio Rio Rii is the second man to turn up bare-chested.

    Old hat now.

Oh, Germany, what have you done?

Horrific - and I'm talking unfathomably bad - green tracksuits. Remember when you could get green toilet paper? That colour. Not at all helped by luminous trainers.

IOC president Thomas Bach is on his feet waving to his countrymen, but I bet he's secretly livid about those outfits.

By the way, the orchestral music that provides the soundtrack to this athletes' parade is absolutely epic. I think they could burst into the theme from Pirates of the Caribbean at any moment.

Jamaican sprint legend Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce hasn't got involved in the flag-tussling nonsense. Almost half the size of boxer Ricardo Brown, she has left the flag-carrying to him and is clutching his arm.

She is also rocking the best hair - a wonderful neon pink colour.
