    After Jack Malone weaved through numerous Newry challenges, the defender was alert to intercept and clear Malone's pullback for the lurking Aaron Prendergast at the back post.

    It's been an eventful opening few minutes for Malone, who also received a talking-to for an off-the-ball collision with Liam Bagnall.

    Glenavon's recent resurgence under Stephen McDonnell continues as they beat Loughgall 2-0 at Mournview Park.

    Isaac Baird gave the Lurgan Blues an early lead against the Villagers, with Jack Malone adding a second shortly before the interval.

    Glenavon have now won four games in a row to move nine points clear of the relegation zone.

    Bottom side Newry City make four changes from the side that lost 4-1 to Dungannon Swifts, with John McGovern, Liam Bagnall, Lee Newell, and Daragh Owens drafted in at the expense of Lorcan Forde, Adam Carroll, Daniel Hughes and Jordan Mooney.

    Mooney and Carroll are named on the bench, with Hughes missing out due to injury while Forde must serve a one-match suspension.

    Stephen McDonnell has no such problems and names the same side that beat Loughgall 2-0 as the Lurgan Blues look to make it five league wins in a row.

    Larne moved to within two points of league leaders Linfield with a 2-0 home win over Coleraine at a wet Inver Park.

    Midfielder Joe Thomson headed the hosts in front after just 12 minutes, and the points were secured in the 89th minute, again from a header, as Leroy Millar met Levi Ives corner to direct his effort past a helpless Gareth Deane.

    George Feeney is poised for a move to the Premier League with four clubs linked with the 15-year-old Glentoran striker.

    Brighton, Tottenham Hotspur, Crystal Palace and West Ham are believed to be interested in the teenager.

    Feeney has made six appearances for the Irish League team and netted his first goal for the Glens last month.
