Former England and Manchester City goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

Chelsea have struggled to give Sam Kerr the service that where we are used to seeing in previous seasons, whether that's from Lauren James or having balls slipped through.

    Man City 2-0 Chelsea

All about game management for Manchester City.

Filippa Angeldahl tries to thread a ball into Bunny Shaw but Chelsea intercept the ball and launch one more attack.

Time has almost ran out though.

    Aston Villa 1-0 Leicester

There's a lull in proceedings now as Leicester calmly spread the ball around the back.

Ashleigh Plumptre almost escapes down the left but she's stopped in her tracks by the Villa defence.

You expect Leupolz to put that in the back of the net, she is in acres of space. She will be so disappointed that she couldn't capitalise on that.

Unopposed, centre of goal. No defenders around at all, expect that to go in the back of the net.

    Man City 2-0 Chelsea

What a chance! Chelsea's Melanie Leupolz is unmarked in the City box, about 15 yards out, to meet a cross. But the German blazes it into Row Z.

    That sums up Chelsea's afternoon.

Should have scored and could have set up an interesting final couple of minutes.

  6. INJURY TIMEpublished at 14:31 BST 26 March 2023

    Man City 2-0 Chelsea

City defender Steph Houghton requires some treatment as the clock ticks into stoppage time.

Four minutes, there or thereabouts, between City and a massive statement win in the WSL title race.

    Aston Villa 1-0 Leicester

The Foxes are causing Aston Villa all sorts of problems down the left flank.

Courtney Nevin is the latest Leicester player to find a pocket of space for a cross, which is met by Ashleigh Plumptre but fails to hit the target.

    Reading 0-2 Brighton

Brighton's Guro Bergsvand has pulled up with an injury and the break in play - midway through the first half - gives both teams the chance to gather their thoughts.

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
    Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC One

Yui Hasegawa has held up the trio of players in midfield, Filippa Angeldahl and Laura Coombs.

She has been the player who has made City tick today so she is my Player of the Match.

  10. Postpublished at 14:27 BST 26 March 2023

    Aston Villa 1-0 Leicester

End-to-end at Villa Park as another Leicester cross is cleared only as far as Hannah Cain, whose sweetly struck effort from the corner of the area is blocked by goalscorer Kenza Dali.

    Absorbing game, this!

  11. Postpublished at 14:26 BST 26 March 2023

    Man City 2-0 Chelsea

This would have been the icing on the cake.

Khadija Shaw hops into space inside the Chelsea box to meet Alex Greenwood's cross from the right, but her looping header lands on the roof of the net to the relief of Chelsea keeper Ann-Katrin Berger.

City striker Shaw has two minutes plus stoppage time to extend her tally to 16 goals in 16 WSL games.

    Man City 2-0 Chelsea

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
    Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC One

Chelsea just haven't had the cutting edge today, the dynamism they need to break Manchester City down.

For everything good that Manchester City have done, Chelsea have not been able to counter that.

  13. Postpublished at 14:24 BST 26 March 2023

    Aston Villa 1-0 Leicester

Now it's Villa's turn to threaten as Kirsty Hanson, who has been heavily involved at both ends in the last few minutes, digs out a cross towards Alisha Lehmann, who can't quite get a decisive touch on the delivery.

    Leicester breathe again.

    Man City 2-0 Chelsea

Sam Kerr pops up on the left as she tries to create something which would set up a barnstorming final five minutes.

But the Chelsea superstar can't pick out a team-mate and the ball goes out for a Manchester City goal-kick.

Quality with the final ball has been Chelsea's big issue today.

    Izzy Christiansen
Everton and England midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Steph Houghton has been really solid today.

She hasn't looked like a player who hasn't played a huge amount of minutes in the Women's Super League.

She's been really consistent at the back and always in the right position.

  19. Postpublished at 14:22 BST 26 March 2023

    Reading 0-2 Brighton

Almost three! Superb football from Brighton as Emma Kullberg passes and moves to cut open the Reading defence. But her curling effort from the right edge of the six-yard box doesn't quite have enough to bend inside the far post.

  20. Postpublished at 14:21 BST 26 March 2023

    Aston Villa 1-0 Leicester

Kirsty Hanson has stayed down after a robust challenge from Sophie Howard near the left corner flag.
