  1. CLOSE!published at 79 mins

    Hibernian 1-1 St Johnstone

Jamie Murphy occupies three Hibs players on the edge of the box, and he easily slides through Stevie May, whose low shot is well saved by David Marshall.

The rebound comes out and only a brilliant challenge in front of an empty goal by Marijan Cabraja stops a Saints player from turning the ball home.

    Hibs are toiling just now.

My instinct was that he had his two hands on the defender. But, Hibs have shot themselves in the foot, the game should be out of sight

    The goal stands!

Nicky Clark does raise his arms towards Ryan Porteous' back but there is minimal contact and the Hibs defender goes down.

What a couple of minutes as Hibs go from relative comfort, to having a man sent off and conceding an equaliser...

GOAL - Hibernian 1-1 St Johnstonepublished at 73 mins

    Nicky Clark

    And there it is!

A corner comes in and Nicky Clark gets above Ryan Porteous to head home from six yards.

This will be checked and there is some suspicion of a push.

We know VAR doesn't look at second yellows, but it wouldn't even have to here. It's daft, absolutely daft. It's bizarre.

  6. RED CARD - Kyle Magennis (Hibernian)published at 68 mins

Having already been booked, Magennis goes in late on Jamie Murphy and gets a second yellow card!

Madness from the Hibs midfielder and from nowhere St Johnstone have a lifeline.

  7. Postpublished at 67 mins

    Hibernian 1-0 St Johnstone

That is one of the worst free kicks you will ever see from David Wotherspoon as he balloons the ball way over when he was trying to pick out a team-mate.

We'll forgive him given he's been out injured for so long!

  8. YELLOW CARD (Josh Campbell)published at 66 mins

    Hibernian 1-0 St Johnstone

A late tackle from Campbell on Connor McLennan gives Saints a chance to put a free kick in from the right.

  9. Postpublished at 64 mins

    Hibernian 1-0 St Johnstone

Elie Youan has an almost instant chance to score for Hibs. Joe Newell slides in Martin Boyle down the right, and his cutback finds the Frenchman.

But his low shot is saved comfortably by Remi Matthews.

  10. GREAT SAVE!published at 63 mins

    Hibernian 1-0 St Johnstone

Kyle Magennis is slipped in by Joe Newell and his fierce shot on the angle from the right is pushed away by Saints keeper Remi Matthews.

  11. Postpublished at 62 mins

    Hibernian 1-0 St Johnstone

Marijan Cabraja smashes the ball into the stands as he attempts a cross.

Goalscorer Mykalo Kukharevych makes way for Elie Youan as Hibs make a change.

Former Hibees Jamie Murphy and David Wotherspoon are on for St Johnstone. Alex Mitchell and Drey Wright are off.

  12. Postpublished at 60 mins

    Hibernian 1-0 St Johnstone

Stevie May picks up possession on the halfway line for Saints, and knocks the ball across the field and in front of Connor McLennan.

The winger just keeps the ball in, but falls over. That sums up Saints' attacking efforts so far.

Are my eyes deceiving me? St Johnstone are in the Hibs box.

But Connor McLennan's cross is hooked clear.

That would have been an absolutely fantastic goal had that gone in. It was a great first-time ball to Boyle who made the run across the front post

  15. Postpublished at 57 mins

    Hibernian 1-0 St Johnstone

Martin Boyle is on the deck again as Hibs produce a lovely move from one end to the other.

At the end, Marijan Cabraja slides a dangerous cross in to the near post, and Boyle is there but can't keep it under control as he lunges forward.

  16. Postpublished at 55 mins

    Hibernian 1-0 St Johnstone

Saints defender Liam Gordon makes a really well-timed tackle on Josh Campbell to knock the ball away on the by-line.

Joe Newell - aka Rory Delap - launches another throw into the box, and it's cleared to a Hibs player who has a lash at the ball, but it goes miles wide of the goal.

  17. YELLOW CARD (Kyle Magennis)published at 51 mins

    Hibernian 1-0 St Johnstone

Kyle Magennis goes in with a high foot and catches James Brown, who takes a spectacular tumble.

A yellow is probably the right call, the Hibs midfielder was a tad late.

  18. Postpublished at 49 mins

    Hibernian 1-0 St Johnstone

Hibs are wasteful this time, as Martin Boyle overhits a simple ball which would have put Chris Cadden in acres of space for a cross on the right.

I'm not sure if McLennan even sees Clark making his run. And then he under hits the pass to Stevie May in the end

  20. Postpublished at 48 mins

    Hibernian 1-0 St Johnstone

Remarkably we have the first corner of the game.

It came after Joe Newell's nice footwork opened up the angle for a shot, which was deflected behind. But it comes to nothing for Hibs.

Up the other end, and St Johnstone squander a 3v2 on the counter.
