Another extraordinary sequence ends with the Glenavon players looking to the sky in disbelief.

Dylan Davidson's curling cross into the area beats everyone, comes back off the post to Daniels, who sees his shot blocked before Larmour's follow-up fails to elude the sea of bodies in the Institute six-yard box.

It's just not happening for Glenavon.

    GOALpublished at 16:15 GMT 11 January 2020

    Glenavon 0-2 Institute

Institute have doubled their lead through Alex Pomeroy!

Well, well, well. For all the chances that Glenavon have created, they suddenly find themselves with a mountain to climb here.

Pomeroy, who a few minutes ago spurned a one-on-one having been played through by McCready, finds the target, breaks through Sharkey and Clingan before slamming his shot past Tuffey.

What a day this is turning out to be for Institute.

Glenavon are still pushing for an equaliser at Mourneview and their latest attempt again came thanks to the set-piece brilliance of Clingan. The former Northern Ireland international picks out Sharkey's head with a corner, but the defender can't guide it inside the post.

    Quote Message

It's important for Glentoran that they do not get frustrated with how the match is going, not least because they know they can go top for a few days at least if they can win by two goals or more. My message to them would be to keep their shape and keep asking questions - they just need to improve the quality of their balls into the box.

  10. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:50 GMT 11 January 2020

    Glenavon 0-1 Institute

Gary Hamilton must be wondering 'is it one of those days?' His Glenavon side have had five or six presentable opportunities but somehow trail 1-0 at the break.

Institute's only meaningful venture forward has resulted in a goal via Joe McCready's penalty. Sean Connor will take that. If it stays this way, Stute will claim only their second win on the road this season.

  11. CLOSE!published at 15:48 GMT 11 January 2020

    Glenavon 0-1 Institute

How have Glenavon not scored in this half?! Their latest attempt sees James Singleton's header turned over the bar by the backtracking Dean Curry, who was perfectly placed with 'keeper Brown nowhere to be seen.

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:46 GMT 11 January 2020

    Glentoran 0-0 Warrenpoint Town

Scoreless at the end of a first half which Glentoran have dominated but have failed to find an opening goal.

Robbie McDaid had the best chance of the match, but he somehow headed wide from a few yards out.

Warrenpoint are working tirelessly and defending well - you just wonder how long they can maintain it for.

  13. WIDE!published at 15:46 GMT 11 January 2020

    Glenavon 0-1 Institute

Glenavon's latest chance falls to Daniel Larmour but the defender glances his header wide after another fine delivery from Clingan.

  14. Look away, Robbie McDaid...published at 15:43 GMT 11 January 2020

  15. Glens putting pressure onpublished at 15:41 GMT 11 January 2020

    Glentoran 0-0 Warrenpoint Town

The home side are starting to create more and more chances here.

Marcus Kane has had a header saved and Mark Byrne has also had to be alive to crosses into the box.

It doesn't look like impatience is kicking in just yet, but they will want to see a goal for their efforts some time soon.

  16. Impressive record on the road!published at 15:41 GMT 11 January 2020

  17. WIDE!published at 15:40 GMT 11 January 2020

    Glenavon 0-1 Institute

Sammy Clingan's free-kick is knocked down to Moorhouse but the ball bounces up and, slightly off balance, he's unable to keep his effort on target.

Glenavon have had several decent opportunities since going behind. If they maintain this level of intensity, an equaliser is surely a matter of when and not if.

  18. SAVE!published at 15:36 GMT 11 January 2020

    Glenavon 0-1 Institute

Sharkey almost atones for conceding the penalty but his effort from eight yards lacks power and is saved by Brown before 'Stute clear.

  19. How'd he miss it?published at 15:32 GMT 11 January 2020

    Glentoran 0-0 Warrenpoint Town

Massive chance just missed by Robbie McDaid.

Just a few yards out, the goal at his mercy but he makes a mess of it and heads wide.

    A shocking miss.

  20. Davidson denied!published at 15:31 GMT 11 January 2020
