He tumbles over under a slightly clumsy challenge from Jay Harris, but then Gunning kicks out at the Tranmere man while on the ground. It's a no-brainer for the officials.

Gunning's season is over. And Forest Green have a tough task here now, with so long left of this first leg.

The team finishing fifth has won the play-offs just once in the past nine League Two seasons, with Southend going up in 2014-15.

Is that a bad omen for Forest Green?
